RING LARDNER & THE 1914 MIRACLE BRAVES

Here is a link to an ode to the 1914 Miracle Braves written by Ring Lardner.  Lardner was a prolific writer, mainly about sports and especially baseball, but he also wrote about the theater and life in general.  His column in the Chicago Tribune was circulated to over 100 newspapers and he also wrote the acclaimed book, You Know Me Al.

Thanks to Jonathon Thorn, the official historian of MLB, for running this piece and to Mike Veve for passing it on to me!
