May 24, 1952: Troubled Red Sox rookie Jimmy Piersall gets into a shouting match with Yankee infielder Billy Martin and their dispute escalates to a fistfight under the stands with Martin winning on a TKO; Piersall will ultimately be treated for a nervous breakdown, but he will recover to ultimately play 17 MLB seasons.
