November 25, 2002: The Boston Red Sox announce that 28-year-old Theo Epstein will become the new General Manager for the club; Epstein becomes the youngest GM in MLB history, establishing a trend that continues to this day, as Red Sox President Larry Lucchino pronounces, “This is no longer your father’s Oldsmobile.”
