October 26, 2004: The Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1 before a crowd of 52,105 at Busch Stadium II, to take a commanding three- games-to-none lead in the World Series; Pedro Martinez pitched seven innings of shutout ball while a Manny Ramirez home run and two hits by St. Louis native Bill Mueller led the offense.
