October 16, 1999: Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens squared off in the pitching match-up of the decade before 33,190 fans at Fenway Park in Game Three of the ALCS and the Red Sox won a 13-1 laugher; Clemens lasted two innings and Pedro left after seven with a 13-0 lead sparked by Nomar Garciaparra’s four hits and John Valentin’s five RBI.
