October 15, 1986: A crowd of 33,001 fans at Fenway Park celebrated as the Red Sox completed their ALCS comeback with an 8-1 win over the Angels to win the American League pennant and a trip to the World Series to face the Mets; Roger Clemens held the Angels to four hits over seven strong innings and Jim Rice and Dwight Evans homered to lead the offense.
