October 6, 2003: After overcoming a 0-2 Series deficit in games, the Boston Red Sox defeat the Oakland A’s for the third straight game, 5-4 to win the ALDS before a disappointed crowd of 49,397 in Network Associates Coliseum; Pedro Martinez got the win, and Manny Ramirez’ three-run, sixth inning home run paced the offense.
