September 29, 1978: Bob Stanley held the Blue Jays to two hits over seven innings and the Red Sox trounced Toronto 11-0 before 29,626 fans at Fenway to remain one game behind the New York Yankees in the AL East; Fred Lynn had five RBI to power the Boston offense and reliever Bob “The Vulture” Stanley improved his record to 15-2.
