September 4, 1972: Luis Tiant pitches his fourth consecutive shutout and improves his record to 10-4 as the Red Sox defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 on Labor Day at County Stadium; the only Red Sox runs are delivered by Carl Yastrzemski who hits a two-run home run off losing Brewers’ pitcher, and former Red Sox hero, Jim Lonborg.
