July 24, 2004: Third baseman Bill Mueller hit a three-run ninth inning home run off Yankee closer Mariano Rivera to give the Red Sox a dramatic 11-10 victory at Fenway Park over the Bronx Bombers; earlier in the game Jason Veritek had confronted A-Rod, shoving his glove in A-Rod’s face and this game is cited as a catalyst to the 2004 season.
