July 17, 1996: The Red Sox are up 9-2 after six innings, but the Yankees score three in the seventh, two in the eighth, and four in the ninth to go out in front 11-9 heading into the bottom of the ninth; but a Fenway crowd of 34,082, goes home happy as Jeff Frye singles home Troy O’Leary from third to give the Red Sox a 12-11 walk-off win.
