June 19, 1977: Carl Yastrzemski and Bernie Carbo both homer twice and George Scott hits one home run as the Red Sox romp 11-1 over the New York Yankees at Fenway Park; The Red Sox had homered six times in the opener of the Yankees’ series, added five round trippers in the series’ second game and the total of 16 home runs in the three game series sweep sets an MLB record.
