May 30, 1894: Boston Beaneaters’ second baseman Bobby Lowe became the first MLB player to hit four home runs in one game as he leads the Beaneaters to a 20-11 win over the Cincinnati Reds; Lowe’s four home runs came in the second game of a doubleheader against the Reds with two of them coming in the third inning.
