May 26, 1978: Dwight Evans hits two home runs and lefthander Bill Lee runs his record to 7-1, as the Red Sox defeat the Detroit Tigers 6-3; Jim Rice slugs his league-leading 16th home run to delight a crowd of 33,431 that is on hand at Fenway Park to watch the first-place Red Sox.
