May 4, 1939: In his first game at-bat at Briggs Stadium (later renamed Tigers Stadium) Red Sox rookie Ted Williams hits a home run that clears the right field roof of the park; this is the first ball to ever clear the right field roof at Briggs Stadium and Ted adds a second home run later in the game to prove that this was not a fluke!
