April 16, 1935: Babe Ruth returns to Boston making his debut with the Braves in a 4-2 win over the New York Giants before a crowd of 20,000 fans at Braves Field; Ruth, who is age 40, singled, homered and drove in three runs to lead the Tribe to victory, but he will retire on May 30, 1935, after a three-home run game in Pittsburg against the Pirates.
