November 26, 1975: Rookie Red Sox center fielder Fred Lynn is a landslide choice for American League Most Valuable Player, making Lynn the first player in MLB history to win the Rookie-of-the-Year Award and MVP; Lynn led the American League in doubles, runs, slugging average and OPS while winning a Gold Glove for his spectacular play in center field.
