November 12, 1923: The Boston Braves and the New York Giants complete a five-player trade that includes two future Braves managers; the Braves traded outfielder and future pennant winning Braves manager Billy Southworth (1946-1951) for outfielder Casey Stengel who would manage the Braves without distinction from 1938 to 1943.
