October 25, 2007: The Red Sox defeated the Colorado Rockies 2-1 before 36,370 of the Fenway faithful to take a two-games-to-none lead in the World Series as Red Sox fans began to anticipate their second championship in four years; Mike Lowell accounted for both Sox runs, scoring in the fourth and driving in Ortiz with a fifth inning double while Curt Schilling earned the win.
