October 22, 1975: One of the great World Series of all-time came to a disappointing end for Red Sox fans as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Red Sox 4-3; the Red Sox scored three runs in the third and led 3-0 after five, but a Tony Perez home run off a Bill Lee “ephus pitch,”and key hits by Pete Rose and Joe Morgan doomed Boston.
