September 13, 1946: Ted Williams hits an inside-the-park home run to give the Red Sox a 1-0 victory over the Cleveland Indians before a sparse crowd of 3,295 at old League Park; the victory clinches the American league pennant for the 1946 Red Sox and it is the only inside-the-park homer of Ted’s 521 career home runs.
