August 28, 1950: At Fenway Park the Red Sox overcome deficits of 0-10 and 1-12, to defeat the Cleveland Indians 15-14 at Fenway Park, led by two triples and a single by center fielder Dom DiMaggio; the 1950 Red Sox were arguably the greatest offensive team in Red Sox history, batting .302 as a team, and .311 when pitcher’s times at-bat are excluded!
