August 22, 1992: Red Sox shortstop John Valentine made his first MLB home run a big one as his sixth inning grand slam home run tied the Seattle Mariners 7-7 in a game played at Fenway Park before 33,275 fans; outfielder Tom Brunansky put the game away for good with a two-run homer in the 8th inning and the Red Sox defeated the Mariners 10-8.
