July 25, 1988: The Red Sox defeat the Rangers 2-0 as Roger Clemens pitches a two-hit shutout at Arlington, TX; this is the 12th straight win under new manager Joe Morgan and “Morgan Magic” is at its height as the Sox win 19 of his first 20 games Morgan was named “interim manager” on July 13, and his job was made permanent on July 20, 1988.
