June 27, 2003: The Red Sox score 14 runs in the first inning, which featured 3 hits by Johnny Damon to tie an MLB record, and crush the Florida Marlins 25-8, Damon doubled in his first at-bat, tripled his second time up in the first inning and singled in his third at-bat, causing Marlins third baseman Mike Lowell to say, “If Damon makes it to third again, I’m walking off.”
