June 25, 2008: 41-year-old knuckleball pitcher Tim Wakefield faces off against 44-year-old Randy Johnson, and Wake comes out on top as the Red Sox defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0; their combined ages are the greatest in MLB history since 59-year-old pitcher Satchel Paige pitching for Kansas City matched up with 29-year-old Bill Monbouquette of the Red Sox in 1965.
