June 18, 1975: Fred Lynn hits three home runs, a single and a triple while driving in ten runs to lead the Red Sox to a 15-1 win over the Tigers in Detroit; Lynn’s 17 total bases in the game ties an AL record and Lynn will go on to help the Red Sox to the World Series while becoming the first MLB player to earn Rookie of the Year and MVP honors in their first season.
