March 16, 1967: In one of the highest scoring spring training games ever played, the Red Sox defeat the New York Mets 23-18, in a game played in St. Petersburg, FL; trailing 18-13 going into the ninth inning, the Red Sox scored ten unanswered in the final inning for the victory, as George Scott paced the offense with four hits including a 450-foot home run.
