March 11, 2002: The new Red Sox ownership, led by John Henry and Tom Werner, introduces Grady Little as the new manager of the Boston Red Sox succeeding interim manager Joe Kerrigan; Little will pilot the Red Sox to 188 wins in two seasons, but he is fired shortly after failing to relieve Pedro Martinez in the 2003 Game Seven ALCS loss to the Yankees.
